If you have a disability, it’s completely understandable that you wonder whether it’s possible for you to visit our museum. We are more than happy to roll out the red carpet as much as we can for disabled visitors. The museum has a wheelchair and walking frame for loan, a lift and a disabled toilet (one floor up). All stairs are provided with banisters.

Lift dimensions

If you will be coming with a large wheelchair or wide mobility scooter, it’s important to know that the width of our lift door is 90 cm. The lift is 140 cm deep.

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are warmly welcomed in our museum. This includes official guide dogs for the blind, service dogs, autism assistance dogs, and buddy dogs for individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). To ensure a smooth visit, it is important that:

  • The dog is clearly identifiable as an assistance dog, also for other visitors.
  • The visitor carries an identification card from the dog training organisation.
  • The dog is always kept on a short lead.

Parking

Subject to availability, there is a parking space available on the grounds. If you have a disabled parking badge, contact the museum before your visit (+31 (0)13 - 535 3935) to find out if the space is available.
