‘Conservation through competition’
In 2015, wildlife photographers Tom Sullam and Paul Joynson-Hicks started the competition as a fun way to raise awareness for wildlife conservation—through humor. And they succeeded! The photos will, at the very least, make you smile, which is exactly their strength. The competition, open to both amateurs and professionals, grows more popular each year—a great sign for wildlife conservation.
Photos for sale
The finalists' photos are available for purchase. Proceeds from the competition help raise funds for the Whitley Fund for Nature, which has already invested over £20 million in conservation projects across 80 countries. Once the exhibition opens, you can secure your favorite photo at the museum! You’ll be able to take your purchased photo(s) home once the exhibition ends (4th of May '25).
