One thing is impossible: being bored!
The Discovery & Exploration Zone takes you, as a visitor, on an exploration through the natural world and through the world that is the (natural history) museum. The great thing is you can see which treasures are stored in the depots. The beautiful collections of plants, animals, stones and minerals, fossils and archaeological and cultural historical finds are usually kept behind closed doors. We have built enormous display cases in the Discovery & Exploration Zone that look like the shelves in a depot, giving you a real ‘depot feeling’. And while you’re there, you can see a (small) selection of the wonderful collection we have.

But the best thing about the Discovery & Exploration Zone is Expedition Discover. It is a fun expedition of discovery during which you find out how intriguing working in a depot is. Find out more about Expedition Discover. In addition, in the Discovery & Exploration Zone you will find many activities to do, after all, a depot is more than just looking. Do puzzles with images of various skeletons and more.
