About the workshop Discover colored pencil techniques
During this 3-hour workshop, everyone makes their own "nature specimen box" with colored pencils. Participants will learn how to look and draw accurately, bringing out texture, light and details.
At the start of the workshop, each participant will receive a printed sheet of small boxes and I will guide the group in drawing a colorful small object (such as a feather, for example) in the first box. Then, step by step, I introduce professional colored pencil techniques used in realistic nature illustrations: layering, subtle blending, applying shadows and adding highlights.
Then each participant gets to choose their favorite natural objects to fill the remaining boxes: leaves, stones, fruit, flowers, shells.... Whatever you see, you draw. The boxes may look the same, but the worlds you create in them are all yours.
At the end, we put all the artworks side by side, as a collective "natural history exhibit" of everyone's discoveries and perspectives.
