Who's that bird in the sky? Raptor identification
Sunday 21 September, 13.00 - 15.00
Tutor: Harin Lee
In English
About the workshop and the tutor
Have you ever wondered which hawk, eagle or falcon you’re spotting while driving along the road? In this workshop, you will learn how to identify birds of prey in flight based on distinctive features such as anatomy, flight style, behaviour and more. You’ll also learn how to create field journals for raptors, and even make a miniature paper bird of prey in full flight (complete with accurate markings).
Participants will learn to draw from observation and discover which features to look for when identifying different species of raptor.
Harin Lee graduated this year with a Master’s degree in Scientific Illustration. Her graduation project (on robotics) is on display in the Science Illustrated exhibition.

Other Workshops in the pipeline
Just like last year, parent-child workshops are also planned for October. Further information will follow!
