About the workshop Discover colour pencil
In this 3-hour workshop, everyone will use coloured pencils to create their own “natural specimen box.” Participants will learn how to look closely and draw with precision, bringing out texture, light, and detail.
At the beginning, each participant receives a printed sheet with small boxes, and I will guide the group in drawing a colorful little object (like a feather) in the first box. This step-by-step demonstration introduces professional coloured pencil techniques used in realistic nature illustration: layering, subtle blending, shading, and adding highlights. After that, each participant is free to choose their favorite natural objects to fill the remaining boxes: leaves, stones, fruit, flowers, shells… Whatever you see, you draw. The boxes may look the same, but the worlds you create inside them are completely your own.
At the end, we’ll lay out all the artworks side by side, like a collective “natural history display” of everyone’s discoveries and perspectives.
